The Zwickau Christmas Market
Located near the Ore Mountains, the Zwickau Christmas Market is one of the most beautiful in Germany. Set against the unique backdrop of a city with over 900 years of history, it stretches across the entire Old Town.
It opens every year on the Monday after Remembrance Sunday and runs daily until December 22.
You can find all the information about the Zwickau Christmas Market on our Christmas Market website.
Charmingly cozy
Lovingly decorated huts line the streets and are easily accessible within a short walk. Festive offerings—such as traditional Erzgebirge handicrafts, including candle arches, Rachermann figurines, and pyramids; decorative Advent ornaments; regional delicacies from Saxony; and specialties from various countries—attract visitors from near and far.
Magical and historic
We see children’s eyes light up when our little guests get to follow Santa Claus onto the stage or play the role of Christmas elves themselves. That’s because, in addition to the Fairy Tale Trail, there are plenty of hands-on activities to enjoy.
Traditionally musical
"Glück Auf!" is the cry heard every third Saturday of Advent, when the Zwickau Miners' Parade sets off with over 400 miners in traditional attire and marching bands, parading through the city. The highlight of the parade is the traditional miners' concert.
