Friendship Square
Located in the northern part of downtown, it is the largest event venue in Zwickau. It offers the perfect setting for circus performances, festivals, various markets, and open-air concerts. Artists such as Sting, Peter Maffay, and David Garrett have performed here, thrilling tens of thousands of people. When no events are taking place, it serves as an affordable parking lot.

Accessibility
Friendship Square is located between Lessingstraße and Osterweihstraße, just a few minutes’ walk from downtown. It is conveniently situated and also offers good access to public transportation.
Tram lines 4, 5, and 7 stop at Georgenplatz. From there, it’s just a short walk to Platz der Völkerfreundschaft. Most bus lines to Zwickau also stop at Georgenplatz or the central bus station, which are both within walking distance of the square.
